Description: Coordinate a project to implement a digital design reference flow, add regression testing and deploy. Develop top-level physical integration and hard IP integration flows for the Analog-Mixed Signal flows team. Develop and deploy post-layout mixed-signal simulation flows using fast spice simulators. Create documentation and provide flow training for design engineers across the company. Design, development, automation and deployment of Digital Implementation flows, specifically Place and Route, Signoff and other back-end methodologies for various process technologies. Work closely with the Product Line design teams to understand their requirements and then enable the efficient use of CAD tools and methodologies. Develop standard cell library and custom cell characterization flows. Tool installation, automation, support and interface with Electronic Design Automation tool vendors to drive resolution of issues and enhancements. Qualifications: Master’s degree or foreign educational equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or relevant technical discipline plus one year of experience, gained at any time, involving: design and development of Digital Implementation Flows and Methodologies with an emphasis on Place & Route using Synopsys IC Compiler, or Cadence’s Encounter; defining low-power digital design methodology for physical implementation for designs such as Digital Signal Processors and High-Speed and Precision converters using techniques such as power-gating, multi-voltage and multi-threshold; characterizing cells for timing, power and noise using delay models such as Non-Linear Delay Model (NLDM), Composite Current Source Models (CCS), and Effective Current Source Model (ECSM) using cell characterization tools; simulation of mixed-signal circuits using SPICE like simulators; layout physical verification and parasitic extraction; supporting designs at various semiconductor process technologies and creating and enhancing technology rule files for these processes using the design rule manuals from foundries; and, working with various scripting and programming languages such as Perl, Tcl/Tk, Scheme, Sh/Csh/Tcsh, C, and C++. Must also have knowledge of VLSI, circuit design and algorithms (can be demonstrated by graduate level coursework or one year of experience).
